Smudging is the burning of herbs as a spiritual practice, used by ancient cultures around the globe, for a variety of purposes from cleansing to invoking.  In this workshop, we will discuss individual herbs historically used in smudging, as well as the herbs growing around us and in our gardens that can be used for this sacred practice.  We'll discuss different traditions of the art, including smudge sticks and bowls.  You'll play with each herb and craft your own personal smudge blend.  Discover how to reclaim these sacred traditions and create your personal healing rituals with smudge.

Our Family Herbalist Certification program is a thirty module course that empowers students to care for the everyday health imbalances they face as a family caretaker.  It is an excellent program for those wishing to care for their children, their parents, and themselves fully and sustainably.

Our Intensive Program includes all thirty modules offered in the course of a weeklong period, designed to allow students from other areas the opportunity to immerse themselves in the richness of plant healing and explore herbal education.  Roots of Herbalism is a pre-requisite for enrollment in this program (a session is offered the weekend prior for out-of-town students).  Read here for a program overview.
