Essential Nutrition (Food Allergies and Emotional Eating) with Michael Joseph

ESSENTIAL Nutrition is a 10-week Program that covers a broad spectrum of holistic nutrition practices, alongside food allergies and emotional eating.

Block one: February

  1. Orientation class 2/16, 7pm

  2. Foundational habits of sustainable health 2/20, 10 am

  3. Adverse Food Reactions and food allergies 2/21, 2pm

  4. Emotional Eating: Part 1: Why do I eat emotionally? 2/23 7pm

Block two: March

  1. Essential nutrition part 1:  Macro Nutrients 3/6, 9am

  2. Essential nutrition part 2:  Micro Nutrients 3/6 2pm

  3. Get out of the breakfast box! Breakfast demo (the breakfast bar) 3/7, 9am

  4. Essential Nutrition Shopping Tour 3/9, 6:30pm

  5. Cooking Class:  Grains, the Staff of Life 3/11, 6:30pm

Block three: March

  1. The Joys Of Vegetables:  Lecture 3/20 2pm

  2. The Art of Salad Making  3/21, 10 am

  3. The Joys of Cooked Vegetables 3/21, 12pm

  4. Joys of Vegetables Shopping tutorial (how to use the Co-op) 3/23, 7pm
    Sudy Group for March: Setting the Mood:  Creating a sensual eating experience 

Block four: April

  1. Nutritional Strategy Part 1Introduction to the Rotation diet 4/10, 2pm

  2. Emotional Eating:  Part 2 Open Forum 4/11, 2pm

  3. Nutritional Strategy Part 2:  Harmonious Nutrition, meal planning, and the final project 4/13, 7pm

  4. Closing class:  “Pot Luck” and presentation of the final project 4/24, 4pm

Study Group for April:  Final project preparation 

Classes are between 90 minutes and 3 hrs in length (closing class is about 4 hrs), calls and study groups are about 1 hr in length each, approx 45+hrs total. Study group/conference call times and dates TBA 

Full-time Program:  $1199; Special Early Registration Discount: $899; Includes:  All classes, class materials, literature, books, conference calls, study groups, discounts on allergy testing, and a complete set of DVDs of each of the program classes at the end of the program  Payment Plans are available; Save $50 if tuition is Paid-in-full at time of Sign-up. 

Other discounts: 
Sign up w/ a friend:  Save $100 each;
Student discount: Save $100 for full-time local college students;
Over 55 Discount:  save $50; Under 30 discount:  Save $50 Under 25 Discount:  Save additional $25
Co-op members or FSHL students enrolled in another program:  Save $50 

Part Time Students:  $300 per class block 
Part-time students may sign up for individual classes on a case-by-case basis, space permitting 
2 Scholarships are available for qualifying applicants, 1 full and 1 partial (50% tuition) scholarship 

For full time students:  Books and class materials written by Michael Joseph included in tuition; part time students will receive materials pertaining to the class block they sign up for; other books may be purchased books separately
