Community Education Garden
Founded on September 11, 2007, our Community Education Garden has served as the hub of learning for many of our students as well as community volunteers and young people from local schools. Learn more about the garden here.
We are currently accepting applications for the following positions:
Community Education Garden Coordinator
This position serves as liason between our garden project and the greater Central Florida community, connceting interested schools and groups with garden programs, facilitating garden workshops, and leading our garden Internships and Volunteer Program. To apply, please submit a cover letter, resume, and three references.
Internships
Each semester, we accept three interns into our program. Interns spend the semester learning hands-on about holistic urban gardening practices, and also lead programs for local schools in our garden. Applications are currently being accepted for the program to start in January. Please submit a cover letter, resume, three references, and the volunteer application below, with a note of your intention to apply for an internship position in your cover letter.
Volunteers
Learn about holistic gardening, organic practices, soil cultivation, worm composting, and herb cultivation hands-on while contributing your time and energy to an exciting community project! Or, for those with green thumbs, help lead those with interest in learning. Become a volunteer with the Florida School of Holistic Living’s Community Education Garden.
Volunteers are needed on an ongoing basis for the care and maintenance of the garden. As our garden grows, so do our needs! If you can help, please submit the Community Education Garden Volunteer Application, and our office will contact you shortly to discuss how you can get involved!
