However, to move into a more commercial setting, such as health food stores and all ONLINE retail venues, there is a vast array of Good Manufacturing Practices, label requirements and MUCH MORE that must be met and mastered if you are committed to avoiding the very expensive pitfalls of becoming ‘pen pals’ with the FTC and FDA.

Description
In this lecture we will outline definitions of marketing and labeling that are regulated by government organizations in the United States, and specific resources where a manufacturer can access compliance criteria. Ellen Kamhi PhD, RN will share her expertise as an herbal formulator and regulatory consultant in the Nutraceutical Industry.
Objective 1: Participants will evaluate their level of knowledge of FDA and FTC regulations of herbal product manufacturers
Objective 2: Participants will differentiate between traditional sharing and trading, preparation of individualized herbal remedies for clients, and commercial product offerings
Objective 3: Participants will define specific resources where they can access compliance criteria

Ellen Kamhi, PhD, RN, AHN-BC, RH(AHG) is a wildcrafting intuitive herbalist, and is adept at radionics and dowsing.
